After 30 years of development, the Huangshi plastic mold industry has entered a rapid growth period of transformation and upgrading, and is the only highly concentrated extrusion mold base in China. The mold industry has won one second prize of the National Science and Technology Progress Award, applied for 14 invention patents, and applied for more than 200 utility model patents. The domestic market share of the products is nearly 60%, and exports account for 30% of the annual production. The products are exported to more than 30 countries and regions such as the European Union and ASEAN.

The mold industry cluster in Huangshi City has rapidly developed and expanded, with the industrial chain extending from the initial mold steel and molds to the high-quality mold modules and down to the manufacturing of mold production products. The improvement of the industrial chain has greatly enhanced the cluster effect of the mold industry, further increasing its market share in the national market, and gradually forming an export base for special steel, molds, and extended processing products, which has continuously increased the popularity of Huangshi mold manufacturing, It has improved the overall image and market competitiveness of the mold industry in the Huangshi region.
